The Pentagon said Austin was in Brussels, accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, where they will hold a June 15 meeting of a Western-led multilateral group that coordinates military assistance. to Kyiv. And the US Department of Defense stressed that allied discussions “will focus on how best to support Ukraine now, as well as in the future.”

The ministry also added that “Ukraine is now focused on air defense systems, anti-tank systems and ammunition, as well as short-range and long-range artillery” and spare parts for military equipment.

“These systems are needed as Ukrainian forces plan a joint attack through mined positions and anti-tank fortifications, which are well protected by Russian forces,” the report says. NATO allies will also discuss the training of Ukrainian pilots.

Earlier, the Pentagon announced that the United States would allocate about $40 billion in military assistance to Ukraine, and its allies and partners – $27 billion.
