Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Warsaw has delivered most of its MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine.
“We delivered to Ukraine almost all of our MiG-29s, which Kyiv asked us to do,” the Polish president said in a statement today, Wednesday.
He explained that it might be difficult to send the rest of the vehicles, as they are equipped according to NATO standards and “in this respect serve the security of NATO.”
The President of Poland indicated that his country has a small number of American F-16 aircraft, but there is no talk of their transfer to Kyiv.
Duda concluded that Warsaw was ready to simultaneously train Ukrainian pilots in the use of this type of fighter.
In early April last year, the President of Poland announced his country’s plans to supply Ukraine with 14 MiG-29 fighters.
