Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said that the Ukrainian authorities want to end the armed conflict on their territory by next winter.
“We want to completely end the war by next winter,” Danilov said in an interview with the Azerbaijani news agency Report.
He pointed out that Kiev’s master plan is to return Ukraine to the 1991 borders, while stressing that in order to achieve this goal, “Kyiv will not be limited by time”, but “will fight for as long as it takes.” He added: “We will carry out one operation or more, depending on many circumstances.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has previously said his country needs more time to launch a counterattack. He explained that Ukraine can launch this attack now, but in this case, “it will lose a lot of people.”
