The Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported that the Court of Appeal of Milan has decided to extradite to the United States the son of Alexander Os, the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Artom Os, and an appeal will be filed in this regard.
The newspaper indicated that the Italian court gave the United States a deadline to provide additional information confirming the conviction of Aus, consent to his extradition at the request of Washington, and also postponed the consideration of the request to a later date, and the hearing in the Aus case took place on February 27 last year.
Sources familiar with the investigation told the Russian news agency Novosti that Aws lawyers intend to appeal the decision to the cassation court, noting that it will take another 3-6 months.
Aus was arrested on October 17, 2022 at Malpensa International Airport in Milan on his way to Turkey, under a US arrest warrant, after he and 5 other Russian citizens were charged in the US with sanctions evasion and money laundering.
