A bus bomb in the northern Afghan province of Balkh killed seven employees of an oil company on Tuesday, a provincial police spokesman said.
Asif Waziri, a spokesman for the Balkh police station in Mazar-i-Sharif, said: “The bomb was planted in a car parked on the side of the road. It exploded on the arrival of the bus.”
He added that the explosion took place around 7 am near Sayed Abad Square in the city, stressing that six people were injured in the crash. No further details have yet been released, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
