Kazakhstan stops production at one of its largest oil fields

The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan announced the suspension of oil production at the Karachaganskoye field in connection with the repair work on it from September 12 to October 6.

The Karachaganak field, discovered in 1979, is one of the largest gas condensate fields in the world, located in the north-west of Kazakhstan and covers an area of ​​more than 280 square kilometers. kilometers.
