Journalist Hersh foresees political downfall for Biden in the near future.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh predicted an imminent political disaster for US President Joe Biden due to the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosions.

The journalist also pointed out that the economic situation in Germany is deteriorating, and, in his opinion, after the German industry has lost Russian gas, the next year will be catastrophic for it.

“It’s going to be bad,” Hersh told Postil.

According to the journalist, the US president fears the potential independence of Germany, and Washington fears “for five generations” that Russian energy resources will become a political weapon. However, what happened, in his opinion, does not eliminate German-American relations, although they are “poisoned” at the official level, according to Hirsch. There is a difference between what the US intelligence community thinks and what the White House does.

He added, without specifying what the differences were, “I don’t think anyone supports the White House’s constant ranting about Russia and China and the constant exaggeration of what’s going on in the war about which there’s a huge difference of opinion between the President and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

Speaking about the bombing of the Nord Stream gas pipeline, Hirsch referred to Norway’s participation in the attack and called it a “puppy” for the United States.

On September 26, 2022, sabotage was simultaneously committed on two gas pipelines exporting Russian gas to Europe, Nord Stream 1 and 2. Germany, Denmark and Sweden have not ruled out deliberate sabotage.

Gas pipeline operator Nord Stream AG said that the state of emergency on gas pipelines is unprecedented and it is impossible to estimate the time frame for repairs.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia opened a case on the fact of an act of international terrorism. On October 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Gazprom had been allowed to inspect the site of the explosion, which was informed by company president Alexei Miller. Putin said that the explosion on the gas pipeline was a clear act of terrorism.

On February 8, American journalist Seymour Hersh published his investigation into the explosions of the Nord Stream gas pipeline, in which he stated, citing a source, that explosive devices were planted under Russian gas pipelines in June 2022 under the cover of the U.S. Navy’s Baltops diver maneuvers with the support of Norwegian specialists.

According to Hersh, the decision to launch the operation was made by US President Joe Biden after nine months of negotiations with administration officials involved in national security issues.

Later, the Pentagon said that the United States had nothing to do with the bombing of Russian gas pipelines last year.
