The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the incursions and violations of the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Jewish extremists and considered them a violation of the sanctity of the mosque.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Haytham Abu Al-Ful said the Jordanian Department of Endowments of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Blessed Mosque Affairs is a legal entity with exclusive jurisdiction to manage campus affairs and regulate entry to it.
Abu al-Ful stressed that these violations and constant attacks by settlers on Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem portend a major escalation in the region.
