Jordan’s central bank has warned of reports claiming it is providing financial assistance to hack devices or steal data.
The statement from the Central Bank clarified that messages are being circulated on various social media and the Internet, especially through the WhatsApp application, that mislead the reader that the Central Bank provides grants and financial assistance to citizens in order to defraud citizens. and hacking into their devices, theft of funds, theft of data or electronic extortion.
The Central Bank urged not to respond to such attempts or distribute them to others and pointed out the need not to publish such publications or advertisements, as well as to refer to the bank’s website to verify the accuracy of publications and advertisements distributed on its behalf.
