Joint Israeli-U.S. ballistic missile defense exercises

The Israeli Ministry of Defense has announced that Israel and the United States will conduct a full-fledged joint missile defense exercise.

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz’s office explained: “The Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMoD), the US Missile Defense Agency, the Israeli Air Defense Command and the US Air and Missile Defense Forces conducted a joint exercise in late March. In July, the focus was on protecting Israel from ballistic threats.

The Israeli Combat Lab (ITB), developed by Elisra (a subsidiary of Elbit Systems), is capable of simulating Israeli and American air defense systems in the same shared space, and can also display and record real-time data, the ministry said. this helps extract comprehensive information for scenarios.

For his part, Moshe Patel, President of IMDO, said: “These exercises represent another step in our extensive collaboration with the US Air and Missile Defense Forces.”

And added: “The combination of different systems greatly enhances the readiness of our forces to face changing threats simultaneously on multiple fronts, and the combat laboratory developed at Elbit Systems IMDO and MDA over the past 30 years is constantly adapting to counter the challenges posed by the arena of our dynamism.

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said, “Relations between Israel and the United States are being strengthened in the face of growing threats and challenges in the region in order to maintain our regional security and stability.”

He continued: “I applaud the successful testing and continued progress in Israel’s air defense capabilities. I welcome the new collaboration between US Central Command and the Israel Defense Forces.
