Zamalek president Mortada Mansour confirmed that the white club’s Portuguese coach Jesualdo Ferreira would continue to manage the team, noting that team star Ahmed Sayed Zizou had told him he didn’t want to leave.
Mortada Mansour said in statements to the Zamalek Club channel: “I got the best club president in Egypt for 5 consecutive years from many newspapers.”
He added: “The fans were crazy and there was unity between the fans, even among those who were different with me and they are #1 and I thank them for supporting the club.”
He continued: “Ferreira will remain at the Zamalek club and continue to work in the team, and it was he who chose the new deals.”
Mortada Mansour concluded: “Zizou told me he didn’t want to leave and I told him that as long as you feel you will be in Zamalek and Zizou will stay at the club.”
Zamalek was officially guaranteed the Egyptian title this season, 3 games before the end of his career in the tournament, for the 14th time in his history.
