Los Angeles Football Club announced today, Monday, the signing of Wales captain Gareth Bale to a one-year contract with an option to extend for another year.
Bale announced earlier last Saturday that he would be moving to Los Angeles from Real Madrid.
“I am very excited about this move to Los Angeles. This is the right place for me and my family and the right time in my career. I can’t wait to start working with the team and win more trophies in LA.” Bale said.

The 32-year-old Bale’s contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30, after nine seasons in the Spanish capital during which he has won the Champions League five times, most recently against Liverpool this year, and three local league titles.
He played 258 games for the Royal Club, scoring 106 goals and 67 assists to win 19 titles.
At the national level, Bale helped his country reach the final of the World Cup, scheduled for later this year in Qatar, for the first time in 64 years.
