The cost of the deal was not disclosed, but Spanish press reports indicated that it was 55 million euros plus 15 million bonuses over five years.
Rafinha, 25, had a contract until June 2024 with Leeds, who joined him from Rennes in 2020.
Rafinha was Barcelona’s third deal before the start of the new season, following two free deals from AC Milan’s Ivorian midfielder Frank Kissier and Chelsea’s Danish defender Andreas Christensen.
