It’s official.. Al-Ahly from Egypt announces his new coach

Egyptian football club Al Ahly announced today, Friday, the signing of a contract with the Swiss Marcel Koehler, who will coach the team for two years, to replace the sacked Portuguese Ricardo Soares.

Al-Ahly said in a statement that Kohler would take three assistants with him.

Koehler will replace Portugal’s Ricardo Suarez, who was sacked last month.

Koehler is due to arrive in Cairo on Saturday to begin his mission.

Köhler previously coached several clubs in Germany and Switzerland including Basel, Bochum and Cologne, and also managed the Austrian national team.
