Italy today without Russian gas

Italian energy company Eni said it had received a notice from Russia’s Gazprom that it would not be able to deliver the required amount of gas to it on October 1 due to the impossibility of transit through Austria.

Gazprom informed us that it cannot confirm and supply the volumes of gas required today due to the announcement that it is impossible to transport gas through Austria. Consequently, the flow of Russian gas destined for Eni through the Tarvisio checkpoint will be zero, the Italian company said in a statement.

The statement notes that the company (Eni) will provide any new information in the event that supplies resume.
