In matches of the 22nd round of the Italian Football League, which starts on Friday, there will be a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria.
The Italian football federation said on Friday that there will be a minute of silence “in every Serie A match scheduled for the weekend (including Monday)”.
“The football world offers its support to the victims of the earthquake. We cannot remain indifferent in the face of such a tragedy.”
A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck southeast Turkey and northern Syria last Monday, killing more than 21,700 people in one of the region’s worst disasters in a century.
