Israeli Transport Minister Vows Never to Return to Dubai Again

Israeli Transport Minister Miri Regev said she did not like Dubai and was not going to visit it again.

Regev said during a speech at the Israel Lands conference: “I was in Dubai and I don’t like this place and I won’t go back there again for 6 years.

Regev later released an explanation for her statement, claiming that she “loves Dubai” and that her words were taken out of context.

Regev said: “I have praised Dubai for building a country in six years, a developed and beautiful country, and I present it as a model in all my meetings with infrastructure companies in Israel. Everything else was said with humor. looking forward to my next visit to Dubai.”

For his part, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen was forced to clarify Regev’s statements, saying: “In the past two years, I have visited Dubai 4 times, two of which were official delegations, and two personal visits with my family. Dubai is a great place to visit and this is an indication of why over a million Israelis have chosen to visit Dubai in the last two years.

Cohen added: “Our relationship with the United Arab Emirates is a strategic one, and we will work to strengthen it by utilizing important tourism links for both countries.”

Cohen tweeted: “I love Dubai and my feelings are shared by the millions of Israelis who have visited the United Arab Emirates.”
