Israeli Defense Minister Threatens to Burn Lebanon

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz threatened to burn Lebanon, saying “The State of Lebanon and its leaders know very well that if they choose the path of fire, they will be severely burned and damaged.”

Gantz emphasized that “Israel is ready to do a lot for the prosperity of its neighbors and is ready to work at all times to protect its citizens”, adding: “We are ready in all dimensions – in the air, at sea, on land, and in electronic warfare.”

In turn, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid said during a visit to Gantz on the northern border: “Israel is ready and ready to act against any threat,” noting that “we do not seek confrontation, but whoever tries to undermine our sovereignty otherwise the citizens of Israel will quickly discover that he has made a grave mistake.”

He added: “Israel is concerned about Lebanon as a stable and prosperous neighbor that is not a platform for Hezbollah terrorism and is not a tool for Iran,” given that “Hezbollah’s activities threaten Lebanon, its citizens and their well-being. We are not interested in escalation, but Hezbollah’s aggression is unacceptable and could escalate the entire region.”
