israel tightens the noose around gazas neck

After Israel bombed the Gaza Strip in Palestine, a young man After Israel’s 51 days of relentless shelling and killing of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip, a long-term ceasefire was reached between Israel and Gaza two months ago. However, efforts to rebuild have just begun. Anyone would think that now would be the perfect time for the world to force Israel to end its cruel and inhumane blockade of Gaza, which has been going on for eight years and is literally killing the people who live there. They are based on secret agreements made between Israel, the Palestinian Authority under Mahmoud Abbas, and UN envoy Robert Serry. None of these three groups actually represents the people of Gaza. O’Regan even told the people there, “Be careful what you put out from this meeting. Don’t put this down. Think about all the people who want their homes rebuilt. During Israel’s stupidly named “Operation Protective Edge” this summer, about 20,000 homes were destroyed, about 500,000 people (out of a population of 1.7 million) were forced to leave their homes, more than 11,000 people were hurt, and about 2,150 Palestinians were killed, most of them civilians. Israel caused a lot of damage, and the cost of fixing it will be around $8 billion, which is more than Gaza’s entire GDP. The BBC got hold of drone footage of the destruction of the Strip:
