Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Commander: Great Powers Seek to Buy Weapons from Tehran

The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Hossein Salami, said that “the great powers today seek to buy weapons from Iran and offer joint cooperation.”

In his speech at a meeting of university professors in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, Salami added that his country “has surpassed even the superior countries in the field of air defense and today ranks first in many technologies.”

He said: “The era of the guardianship of unjust foreign regimes in our country is over, and this is due to our lack of dependence on foreigners, since the end of dependence on foreigners brings strength and power.”
