Iraqi team withdrew from the Romanian tennis championship due to confrontation with the Israeli team

Today, Thursday, Majid Al-Aqaili, head of the Iraqi Tennis Federation, announced that his country’s national team withdrew from the Romanian tennis championship due to a confrontation with the Israeli team.

And he said in a press statement: “The husbands of the Iraqi team, Nasr Mahdi and Muhammad al-Mahdi, refused to confront the team of the Zionist entity.”

He added: “In the championship matches, the Iraqi team fought the Zionist entity at the start of the Romanian International Tennis Championship which kicked off yesterday.”
