Abdul-Ghani pointed to the importance of converting “expectations” into fixed reserves, which would strengthen Iraq’s position in terms of maintaining and increasing oil and gas production. For his part, Ali Jasim, General Director of Oil Exploration Company, said that the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Oil listened to an explanation of the company’s plans and programs, and also attended a seminar on promising gas exploration blocks, the results of exploration and appraisal work, as well as the prospects for optimal investment in hydrocarbons.
He stressed that the company’s seismic survey teams are introducing the latest technologies, instruments and advanced equipment when surveying lands and territories intended for development and production.
