Iran and Russia cancel group tourist visas between the two countries

Tehran and Moscow announced the abolition of group visas for tourists from January 2023.

This is stated in the statement of the head of the Department of Marketing and Tourism Development of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Iran, Leyla Ajdari, made today, Monday, September 5, in which she said that based on what was previously agreed between the governments of Iran and Russia, and with On January 1, 2023, citizens of these countries will not need a group visa if they are going to travel to the country in tourist groups of 5 to 50 people for a period of no more than 15 days.

It is established that the corresponding agreement was signed between the two parties during the second meeting of the Iranian-Russian technical committee on tourism.
