International Contact Group for Assistance to Ukraine to meet on the 20th of this month

The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) reported that a new meeting of the International Contact Group on Assistance to Ukraine will be held remotely on the 20th of this month.

The Pentagon said in a statement that US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin discussed the agenda for the upcoming meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Alexei Reznikov in a telephone conversation.

The statement notes that the two ministers exchanged views on future assistance from the United States and its allies to Ukraine.

The last meeting of the Contact Group on arms supplies to Ukraine took place in June last year in Brussels at NATO Headquarters.

The group’s first meeting took place in April at the Ramstein US base in Germany.
