Injury from robbery. Aubameyang case could lead to the breakdown of his negotiations with Chelsea

Today, Wednesday, the English press reported on the latest developments in connection with the transfer of the Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Chelsea in the last hours of the summer Mercato.

However, Chelsea have entered into talks with Barcelona to include Aubameyang to make up for the departure of the Blues attacking line duo Belgian Romelu Lukaku and German Timo Werner.

Aubameyang has been subjected to an armed robbery at his home over the past few days, resulting in injuries.

According to the British newspaper The Athletic, Aubameyang’s situation could take a new turn after an injury he sustained during a robbery at his home a few days ago.

The newspaper added that Aubameyang broke his jaw during the robbery, which would put him out of action for weeks, considered enough to derail Chelsea’s talks of his inclusion.

And the Spanish newspaper El Pais explained in a report on the armed robbery of the house of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang early last Monday morning, which claimed that at least four masked thieves and armed with firearms and iron bars broke into the garden of a Gabonese house in the Castelldefels district , the Catalan capital.

Aubameyang was allegedly threatened with a gun before being beaten, and the men also intimidated the footballer’s wife into giving them access to a safe in the house to steal jewelry and money.

The thieves tied Aubameyang and threw him to the ground for about an hour, with some of them speaking Italian.

It is not uncommon for a player’s home to be robbed, but usually such events occur when the player is not at home, often during a match.

And Aubameyang is the second Barcelona player to be the victim of a criminal act in the past few days, as Polish star Robert Lewandowski, a newcomer to the Blaugrana, had a luxury watch stolen in Sant Joan Desby, although the player’s family immediately returned the watch and arrested the thief.

Notably, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined Barcelona from Arsenal last January on a free transfer, and his place at the Camp Nou is no longer guaranteed with the arrival of top scorer Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.
