Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, an expert on the European transfer market, wrote a “tweet” via his Twitter account saying: “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be in Manchester United’s squad at the start of the pre-match matches. seasonal tour. Tomorrow he will not go to Bangkok.”
“Before Manchester United, Cristiano was given additional leave to deal with personal and family matters,” he added.
Manchester United are due to kick off their football tour in Bangkok against Liverpool on July 12.
And British newspaper The Sun has reported that Manchester United have embraced the idea of leaving their star Cristiano Ronaldo during the current summer transfer period.
Press reports claimed that Ronaldo had submitted a formal request to leave and that he had missed a period of preparation to find a new team, but Manchester United announced that the absence was due to family circumstances.
And the Sun newspaper that Manchester United realized their inability to keep Ronaldo at the club against his will.
The newspaper pointed out that officials in the Red Devils team wanted to avoid a protracted fight with the Portuguese star.
And The Sun reported that Manchester United management spoke with Dutch manager Eric Ten Hag, the team’s new coach, and the coach agreed to start planning for the team’s future without Ronaldo.
The newspaper reported that in January last year, Ronaldo’s advisers told the club’s chief executive, Richard Arnold, that Don would not stay at Manchester United if the team failed to qualify for the Champions League.
