Increase in exports of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics from the EU to Russia

European exports to Russia have increased for some goods, such as industrial equipment, medicines and cosmetics, RBC reports based on data from the European statistical service Eurostat.

Media indicate that the total volume of merchandise exports in June increased by 18 percent compared to May, from 3.78 billion euros to 4.45 billion euros.

Germany and Italy account for the largest share of exports – 1.16 billion euros and 532 million euros, respectively. In addition, the flow of goods from Poland and the Baltics has increased significantly.

Industrial equipment was the main export commodity, with sales of 1.12 billion euros, up 21 percent from May. In second place are drugs, the cost of which amounted to 791 million euros.

As for cosmetics and perfumery, the growth in June compared to May was 38 percent, the export of medical products and instruments increased by the same amount.

Plastic goods rose 16 percent, while electrical equipment and appliances rose 7 percent.
