Today, Thursday, the International Football Association (FIFA) announced the historic decision regarding the teams participating in the World Cup, which will be held for the first time in the winter, from November 21 to December 18, 2022, in Qatar.

And the International Football Association has decided to increase the number of players on the team rosters, fearing the potential impact of the Corona virus, before and during the tournament.

FIFA has announced an increase in the number of players in the preliminary lists of national teams from 35 to 55 players.

Regarding the final rosters, FIFA decided to increase the number of players from a minimum of 23 players to a maximum of 26 players per team.

In the World Cup final, there will be 15 players from each team on the bench.

According to the International Football Association, the last match that the players will play with their clubs before joining the teams in preparation for the World Cup will take place on November 13.
