Today, Monday, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres expressed his firm hope for peace in Ukraine next year.
“I very much hope that peace will be achieved in Ukraine in 2023,” the UN Secretary-General said.
Guterres, at a conference at the end of the year, expressed a lack of optimism about the possibility of starting peace talks in the near future.
He stressed that the UN is very interested in speeding up the exchange of prisoners, especially on the eve of Christmas.
