Grumpy Cat is unimpressed to be honored at Madame Tussauds museum

Never has a celebrity looked so annoyed with getting her measurements taken than Grumpy Cat.

The finicky feline patiently sat, stood and stared as sculptors snapped photos and measured the cat for San Francisco’s Madame Tussauds. a wax museum with branches in a number of major cities.

In this YouTube video posted Wednesday by Madame Tussauds, Grumpy Cat does not look amused as she’s poked, petted and hugged by artists who will be re-creating the aloof kitty into the celebrity wax museum’s first ever animatronic cat statue.

“This is truly an honor…I hate it,” Grumpy Cat said in a statement.

Those of you with cats as pets should know that most felines would barely sit still to have their portraits taken over and over, let alone behave while strangers took endless measurements of their faces, bodies, tails and so on.

Grumpy Cat is one of the most successful animal Internet stars, with her own Christmas movie on Lifetime.

Grumpy Cat’s animatronic likeness will have five different movements, and will debut later this year at Madame Tussauds in San Francisco. From there the Grumpy Cat statue will make stops at five other cities across the US, most likely impressing everyone but the celebrity cat herself.
