MOENCHENGLADBACH, Germany — Borussia Moenchengladbach has signed Danish defender Andreas Christensen on loan from Chelsea.
The Bundesliga side says the 19-year-old Christensen, who has two appearances for Denmark, is joining on a two-year loan deal to June 2017 after undergoing a medical examination on Friday.
Christensen made three competitive appearances for Chelsea last season. He played for Denmark at the European Under-21 Championship last month.
Moenchengladbach sports director Max Eberl says, “Christensen is a promising talent and can play across different positions in defence. We’re happy that we could take him on loan from Chelsea.”
