Germany’s Defense Minister admits inability to replace damaged Leopard tanks in Ukraine

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said his country would not be able to replace and compensate for all the Leopard 2 tanks destroyed in Ukraine.

“Germany does not have the capacity to replace every Leopard 2 tank disabled during the fighting in Ukraine, but the country will continue to supply weapons to Kiev,” the minister added in statements to the Bild newspaper.

“We cannot replace every tank destroyed there,” Pistorius said, noting that a lot of equipment was destroyed during the fighting.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Russian troops destroyed several Leopard tanks, the British Stormer air defense system and other Western-made weapons sent by Western countries.

The Ministry of Defense also reported that Russian forces seized Leopard tanks left by the Ukrainian military after they left their positions in the Zaporozhye direction.
