Germany refused to hold an “exhibition of destroyed Russian equipment” in Berlin, angering the former Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, who sparked controversy with his harsh comments and criticism of German officials.

Former Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andrey wrote: By the way, Melnik said: “This cancellation is a real scandal! I appeal to the mayor and administration of the Mitte district (central Berlin) with a request to cancel this strange decision and allow the display of tanks in Berlin, because this means real solidarity with Ukraine.”

Melnik seems to have forgotten that he was removed from office on July 9 after insulting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and glorifying the Nazi-allied Bandera gangs during their occupation of Ukraine in World War II, as well as publicly denying the Holocaust.
