German reaction to Ronaldo’s move to Bayern Munich

German newspaper Bild has reported that Cristiano Ronaldo, the Manchester United star, is close to a move to Bayern Munich this summer.

In recent hours, Ronaldo’s name has been associated with a move to the Bavarian giants in light of his reluctance to continue playing for the Red Devils.

A German newspaper called reports of Ronaldo leaving for Bayern Munich just crazy rumors.

“Ronaldo’s annual salary at United is 29 million euros, his move to Bayern Munich will explode the salary structure,” she explained.

And the newspaper continued: “The administration of Bayern Munich will not pay the Portuguese Don this salary, not even 20 million euros for a 37-year-old player.”

She noted: “For comparison, Robert Lewandowski earns 24 million euros a year, which is the highest salary in Bavaria.”

She pointed out that the Bayern administration had previously denied these rumors, as well as the assurances of former CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge that salaries were one of the reasons not to think about such deals.
