German MP Sevim Dagdalen said that the policy of the German government, following in the footsteps of Washington, prompted Berlin to send tanks to Kiev independently, despite Washington’s statements about joint deliveries.
“Under pressure from the United States, the German government supplied Ukraine with Leopard tanks, after which the United States stated that it could not deliver the Abrams tanks that had been promised earlier,” Dagdalin said.
And he considered that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in his reasoning about the connection between American and German tank deliveries, misled the public.
He pointed to the validity of criticism from critics of Schultz, who said that the Americans “will not stand still” while Berlin provides armored forces to Kyiv.
