Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said that no party wants to open a “second front” against Russia in Georgia.
Zurabishvili said on Friday in an interview with the Georgian channel Bervili, answering a question about this: “What is the second front? And when did our Western partners push us to any kind of war? no one … and no one wants another hotbed of instability.”
She added that all foreign partners of Georgia want the situation in the Black Sea region and the Caucasus to be stable.
She indicated that they “believed that all issues related to the territorial integrity of Georgia should be resolved exclusively by peaceful means”, referring to Abkhazia and South Ossetia, whose independence Russia recognized in August 2008 and which Georgia still considers part of its territory.
