"Gazprom" Declares the impossibility of restoring the turbine "Nord Stream-1"

Gazprom said that the sanctions imposed by Canada, the European Union and the UK make it impossible to restore the Nord Stream 1 turbine, which was repaired in Canada and is now in Germany.

In addition, the turbine cannot be shipped to Russia due to the current situation, which is incompatible with Siemens commitments, the company added.

Nord Stream 1 is now the main pipeline for Russian gas to Europe. Due to difficulties with the return of turbines from repair and maintenance work that arose after the imposition of sanctions against Russia, Gazprom was forced to reduce pumping, first to 40% of the gas pipeline’s capacity, and then to 20%.
