"Gazprom": company "Siemens" The German does not service the engine"Northern Way-1"

Vitaly Markelov, deputy chairman of the board of directors of the Russian company Gazprom, said that the German company Siemens does not carry out maintenance of engines for the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline.

The official said in a TV interview today, Wednesday: “There is another problem with faulty engines that are in a state of forced failure at the compressor station due to emergency malfunctions. Siemens is not working to fix these problems.”

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian energy company Gazprom is supplying natural gas to Europe at the maximum capacity allowed by technical and technical capabilities.

Western sanctions imposed on Russia prevent maintenance work on Siemens turbines installed on the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline (a gas pipeline from Russia to Germany under the Baltic Sea), which leads to a decrease in the volume of supplies to Europe.

In light of this, natural gas prices jumped more than 12% in trading today, Wednesday, with European countries aiming to cut gas consumption by around 15% between August 2022 and the end of March 2023.
