Gas prices in Europe rise amid economic fears

Today, Thursday, gas prices in Europe rose by about 5%, and blue fuel contracts exceeded $1,600 per thousand cubic meters for the first time since March 10 last year.

By 14:20 Moscow time, gas futures on European exchanges rose 5.4% to $1,604.4 per thousand cubic meters.

The rise in prices comes amid fears of interruptions in gas supplies from Russia.
