Gantz accuses Netanyahu of threatening Israel

The head of the right-wing National Unity Party, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz, criticized opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that the Likud leader “can’t say anything right.”

In an interview with Israeli Army Radio, Netanyahu said that Gantz “endangered the lives of soldiers so as not to harm the Palestinians when he was the commander of the Israeli army,” referring to an incident in which the army was waiting for the Palestinians to be evacuated. before the attack on the Gaza Strip.

In response, Gantz said, “The army demolished the hospital and made sure there were no patients and other people who needed to be evacuated,” noting that “we did all the procedures in anticipation, and then the hospital was destroyed.” But Bibi (Netanyahu), that liar, can’t say a single right word.”

He added: “The Israeli public is faced with a liar,” adding that “Bibi is threatening the State of Israel by providing and empowering far-right leaders such as members of the Religious Zionist Party, Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir.”

And on Ben-Gvir’s leaked statement in which he says he will require legislation to be passed retroactively that would allow Netanyahu to get rid of his corruption trials, Gantz said: “We are doing everything we can to prevent this. ”
