Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov revealed the promising prospects for cooperation between Russia and the UAE, calling relations with Abu Dhabi strategic and warm.
Manturov said in an interview with RT on the sidelines of his participation in the IDEX defense exhibition that Russia is expanding cooperation with the UAE in all areas, including political, economic, trade and military-technical.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov noted that Russia regularly participates in the IDEX defense exhibition, and participation this year was no exception, and Russia participates in the event with a special pavilion.
Manturov, who also holds the position of Minister of Trade and Industry in the Russian government, counted on the popularity of Russian equipment and weapons, expressing his country’s willingness to cooperate with traditional and new partners.
Manturov leads the Russian delegation that is participating in the UAE at the IDEX 2023 International Defense Exhibitions and the NAVDEX 2023 Naval Exhibition, which will run until February 24.
Manturov said that the Russian wing of Rosoboronexport, which exports Russian weapons and military equipment, is demonstrating new samples of Russian weapons and military equipment.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia noted that over the past fifteen years, the export of Russian weapons to the countries of the Middle East has been quite stable, despite Western restrictions.
The Russian official said: “The countries of this region (the Gulf) remain reliable partners for Russia in the field of military-technical cooperation, and this cooperation has good prospects.”
IDEX 2023 International Defense Exhibitions and NAVDEX 2023 Naval Exhibition started in Abu Dhabi today, the event will last until February 24.
The International Defense Exhibition “IDEX” is one of the most important exhibitions in the world and the largest in the region, and “IDEX” 2023 is expected to be the most outstanding exhibition in the history of the exhibition, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of its launch.
