The French club closed its doors to Marcelo, the former Real Madrid left-back, following his departure from the royal team at the end of his contract on 30 June.
French chain Foot Mercato has reported that Olympique Lyon are looking to sign the left-back during this summer’s transfers.
According to Foot Mercato, Marcelo was offered by Olympique Lyon.

She added that the 34-year-old Marcelo was offered the administration of Lyon, but she refused to conclude a deal for two reasons.
She explained that the first of those reasons is financial, for the veteran Brazilian player to receive 9 million euros annually with Real Madrid, who left the ranks after 15 years in the king’s shirt.
She also pointed out that the Lyon administration is no longer convinced by the idea of signing older stars after the experience of 33-year-old Jérôme Boateng, who signed from Bayern Munich last summer, failed.
At the same time, Marcelo has received offers from the US and Brazil, but he wants to continue playing in Europe and has not yet found his next destination due to the salary he is receiving.
