France welcomes Germany’s decision to supply Ukraine with 14 tanks "Leopard-2"

The Elysee Palace welcomed Germany’s decision to supply Ukraine with 14 Leopard-2 tanks and intends to expand its support to Ukraine through the supply of AMX10-RC armored vehicles.

This was reported today, on Wednesday, by Agence France Presse, citing Elysee, which indicates that the French government has not yet decided on the supply of Leclerc tanks to Kyiv.

French President Emmanuel Macron said last Sunday that he did not exclude any options for the supply of other weapons to Ukraine, including Leclerc tanks, and the French Ministry of Defense stated that it had been in the process of transferring AMX10-RC armored vehicles to Kyiv for two months.

The German Cabinet of Ministers announced today its decision to send 14 Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine, and Berlin said that this decision was made as a result of intensive negotiations with its partners.
