Former Zamalek player El-Desuki and his wife were killed by their son

1970s Zamalek, Benha and Egypt international player Ibrahim El-Desuki died at the age of 65 yesterday Friday from a head injury after receiving fatal blows at the hands of his son.

Egypt’s state prosecutor’s office said the son of the deceased attacked him with a Faza vase after he had previously killed his mother while under the influence of drugs.

The security forces succeeded in arresting the accused and he was handed over to the prosecutor’s office, who ordered his detention pending investigation.

Egyptian journalist Ahmed Schubert wrote on his personal Facebook page: “Captain Ibrahim El-Desuki, former Zamalek player and hero of the General League cancellation incident in 72, died in an unfortunate humanitarian accident, sincere condolences, salvation and permanence God.”

Benha Sports Club mourned the deceased, emphasizing that he was one of the most important symbols of the club in the past years and gave a lot to the club and its members while serving on the club’s board of directors in previous sessions, and the club expressed its sincere condolences to the fans of the deceased and his family due to their great grief.
