Force Friday furnishings: New ‘Star Wars’ decor from ThinkGeek

Being a “Star Wars” fan means more than collecting Wampa-sized piles of toys and action figures.

For some of us grown-up fans, it means revealing our appreciation for a galaxy far, far away through our choice of home decor and kitchenware.

It can, however, be rather embarrassing wandering the kids’ section for bedding and kitchen gadgets in hopes of finding the coolest “Star Wars” pillow or cookie cutters.

ThinkGeek has our nerdy needs in mind with its latest “Star Wars” items for Force Friday — a daylong marketing push where Lucasfilm and Disney licensees release information on a barrage of new “Star Wars” products.

Star Wars Rebel friends cookie cutters: Make Chibi versions of your favorite intergalactic heroes with these Star Wars Rebel friends cookie cutters. Adorable designs of Luke, Leia, Yoda, Chewie, C-3PO and R2-D2 will make your delicious treats even more delightful. The set of cookie cutters sells for $20 (which converts to about £13 or AU$29).

Millennium Falcon and BB-8 serving platters: At your next “Star Wars” viewing party, whip out this Millennium Falcon serving platter to impress your geeky guests. Measuring 10.25 inches (26 centimeters) by 14.25 inches (36 centimeters), the tray retails for $20 (which converts to about £13 or AU$29). The serving platter also is available in the design of the newest droid BB-8, at the same price.

BB-8 throw pillow: The BB-8 rolling astromech from the upcoming film “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is so cute we want to cuddle it. While most droids don’t stay stationary long enough for a Wookiee hug, this BB-8 throw pillow is made of just the right stuff (polyester fiber and foam, to be exact) for a loving squeeze. The BB-8 pillow measures 15 inches (38 centimeters) tall by 11.5 inches (29 centimeters) wide by 4.25 inches (11 centimeters) deep, and retails for $20 (which converts to about £13 or AU$29).

R2-D2 bento box: Make a dinner date with the kind of astromech who can make meals extra special. This R2-D2 bento box may look like everyone’s favorite original “Star Wars” droid, but can be taken apart to include three food containers. The top container seal can be used as a round sandwich cutter. The R2-D2 bento box is so easy even a Stormtrooper could figure out how to use one.
