For the first time in 40 years… a national commemoration of the attack on the ghetto in Paris

For the first time, on the anniversary of the Paris ghetto attack, 40 years after the incident, a national tribute was organized on the occasion.

French Justice Minister Eric Dupont-Moretti said at the ceremony: “After 40 years, something sad is being imposed… anti-Semitism… this filthy malice has not died… Every day… in the street… on posters and even in some political spheres”, where the ceremony was organized by the French Ministry of Justice and the Parliament of French Jewish Institutions.

The ceremony was attended by the survivors of the accident and residents of the same area, and Eric Dupont-Moretti, in addition to elected officials, ambassadors and representatives of Jewish institutions, gathered in front of the plaque on the Rose-Rose and laid wreaths.

On August 9, 1982, a grenade exploded in the Joe Goldenberg restaurant, after which members of the Fatah-Revolutionary Council movement took place in the ghetto. and he was charged with premeditated murder and attempted murder. He is currently awaiting trial in France, and the investigation is still ongoing,” the Hebrew media reported.
