Football player calls police on unruly fans

The Dutch footballer Groningen called the police after he was attacked by fans during the match.

Groningen defender Jetro Willems was attacked by a fan of his team during a match against Heerenveen in the 26th round of the Dutch football league, in addition, the fans poured beer on him.

The football player and four other employees of the club reported threats and an attack to the police.

Groningen condemned the events that took place during the match, and it should be noted that all persons involved in the riots have already been identified, they have been banned from entering the stadium and the investigation is still ongoing.

The match between Groningen and Heerenveen, which took place last Sunday, ended with the score 0:2 in favor of the guests.
