Following emergency warnings, hundreds of refugees were transferred from a shelter center in the Netherlands.

Leon Feldt, spokesman for the Netherlands Refugee Agency, confirmed the transfer of hundreds of refugees from Ter Appel, the main center for asylum seekers, to other centers in the country late last night.

The Dutch Red Cross and Médecins Sans Frontières have warned of an impending humanitarian emergency in the center of Ter Apel in the north of the Netherlands, where more than 700 refugees have been living in appalling conditions for nearly three weeks.

And there were scenes of their sleep on the ground near the toilets and toilets.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte acknowledged that there were “shameful scenes” at the center, promising a speedy solution to the problem.
