Five dead, 19 injured in earthquake in southern Iran

Governor of Hormozgan province in southern Iran, Mahdi Dusti, announced that the earthquakes that hit parts of the province at dawn today, Saturday, killed 5 people and injured at least 19.

Dosti said in a press statement that strong earthquakes measuring 6.1 and 6.3 on the Richter scale and dozens of aftershocks killed 5 people and injured 19 people in the villages of the Khmer port.

He explained that the main damage was caused by the village of Sayeh Khush, whose houses were destroyed by earthquakes.

It is noteworthy that 3 earthquakes of magnitude 6.1, 6.1 and 6.3 occurred today at dawn in the area of ​​Hormozgan province in southern Iran.
