Recently, in a number of Western countries there have been increasing calls to stop issuing visas and to ban all Russians from entering Europe.

Such statements were made by the Prime Ministers of Finland and Estonia Sanna Marin and Kaja Kallas.

Latvia and Estonia also announced the end of issuing visas to Russians.

For its part, the Russian Foreign Ministry called the idea of stopping the issuance of visas to Russian citizens chauvinistic.
